Important Notice: A New City of Upland Business License is Required...
When the following changes occur, you are required to submit a new business license application in order to receive a new business license tax certificate:
| 1) Change in ownership to the business; a new owner |
| 2) Change in ownership type (LLC, Sole Proprietorship, General Partnership, Limited Partnership, Corporation) |
| 3) Change in business location (requires new zoning clearance and certificate of inspection) |
| 4) Change in the EIN number |

How do I check to see if a business has a business license?
You are able to check if a business has a business license registered with the City of Upland by using the online search tool on the Business License Portal, which is accessible by visiting:

You may also submit a Public Records request to the Upland City Clerk's office by emailing the Upland City Clerk's at UplandCityClerk@UplandCA.gov. To contact the Upland City Clerk's office dial (909) 931-4120. Select the PDF to download and complete the required Public Records Request form to send to the Upland City Clerk.

To report an illegal business in the City of Upland, contact the Upland Police Code Enforcement Department at (909) 946-4260. You may also submit your report online at codeenforcement@uplandpd.org.
