Clergy Council

Members of the Upland Police Department Clergy Council are all certified pastors and spiritual counselors, who must go through an extensive background assessment. Members of the Clergy Council may interact with victims and suspects, who seek spiritual guidance.

What They Do

  • Make death notifications
  • Provide assistance to victims
  • Serve as part of the Crisis Response Team
  • Assist at suicide incidents
  • Serve on review boards, award boards and other committees
  • Deal with transient and the homeless
