About the Program: 

The City of Upland Discover Upland Business Spotlight Video Series is a free recognition initiative that shines a light on the incredible small businesses that call Upland home. Our goal is to celebrate the diversity, innovation, and community impact of local businesses while raising awareness of all they contribute to the Upland community and the greater region.

Each cycle, one outstanding business, will be selected through an application process. The selected business will also be featured in our Discover Upland Video Series, a professionally produced spotlight video that will be shared on the City’s website and social media platforms. The video will be provided to the business for use in their own promotions.

Featured Business:

Businesses chosen for this program will reflect what makes Upland such a vibrant place to live, shop and work. We're looking for businesses that not only thrive in Upland but also make a meaningful impact, whether through community engagement, creating jobs, or contributing to our City’s growth and spirit. This program is designed to highlight and celebrate the businesses that fuel Upland’s local economy and represent the best of what our community has to offer.

How to Apply:

All small businesses with a valid City of Upland business license that occupy a physical business location in the City are eligible to apply. Nominations are accepted. Applications will only be accepted via email, in-person submissions will NOT be considered. 

Businesses must:
1. Have a current valid City of Upland business license
2. Be in good standing with the City
3. Occupy a physical business location
4. Not be an adult business
5. Not be a home or online-based business

Process:
1. City staff will review submitted applications to confirm eligibility and license status.
2. Qualified applicants will be evaluated by City staff. The selected business will be contacted to schedule a video shoot and interview.
