2022 "Picture It, Upland" Photo Contest
Capture The Essence Of Upland - Give Us Your Best Shot!
It's time to submit your best photos that capture the essence of Upland for our 5th Annual "Picture It, Upland" Photo Contest. Winners will be chosen in three contest categories: People, Places, and Nature. The Overall Grand Prize winner will take home a $100 prize and the first-place winners in each of the three categories will take home a $50 prize.
The Grand Prize image may be featured as the front cover of the 2022 Fall Upland Today News Magazine and Recreation Guide. The winning photographs will be showcased on City of Upland social media channels and displayed in other ways to promote the City and our "Picture It, Upland" Photo Contest.
Participants of all ages may submit photos. Participants must be residents of Upland. Submit your best photos Tuesday, March 1 through Tuesday, May 31. Winners will be announced the week of June 20. Please download and print the 2022 "Picture It, Upland" Photo Contest Entry Form.

Our Walking Wednesday group will meet weekly in May and stride up the Euclid Median, gradually increasing distance each week. All ages and fitness levels are welcome! Join for FREE and bring a friend! Each 1/2 mile walked with us will earn an entry for a chance to win a prize!

Butterflies In May

Children, enjoy the beauty and changes of the butterfly by experiencing its changing life cycle from caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly.
Each child participating in this special event will receive a Butterflies In May kit, complete with caterpillar home, supplies to decorate the home, and a live caterpillar to watch its changes. All that is needed is imagination!
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration required.

2022-2023 VolunTeen Program

**Fulfill Community Service Requirements**
The VolunTeen Program is a year-round program, June 2022 through June 2023, with an emphasis on summer programming. VolunTeens will have the opportunity to broaden their horizons and experience what it means to help out in their community, while assisting Upland Recreation and Community Services staff with summer programming and special events located at Recreation Division facilities, schools, and local parks. After the conclusion of summer programs, other volunteer opportunities will available throughout the year.
The VolunTeen Program will culminate with a recognition event in the Spring of 2023 for those with 25 or more volunteered hours. To be eligible to participate and for a Letter of Accomplishment and Recommendation, all VolunTeens must volunteer a minimum of 25 hours from June 1 through December 1.
All completed forms must be submitted to Upland Recreation and Community Services located at the Magnolia Recreation Center, 651 W. 15th Street, Upland no later than Wednesday, June 1.
