The City of Upland actively advances the goals of the City Council through meaning engagement in the legislative process.  To further this goal, the City adopted resolution 6612 on September 21, 2021, approving the City’s legislative platform.  Under the direction of the City Manager, staff actively tracks and analyzes state legislation that has a direct impact on the City’s interests as stated in the legislative platform.  At times, the City Council may take a specific position on individual bills and direct staff to send advocacy letters in support of or in opposition to these bills.
