Solar Permit Streamlining
Solar Installation Contractors are now able to apply for solar permits online with the help of SolarAPP , a web-based portal for residential solar energy system installations. SolarAPP is designed to provide a code-compliance check for most residential roof-mounted photovoltaic systems. Contractors must be registered with SolarAPP to qualify for the automated review. Or applicants can submit directly to City’s PORTAL.
NOTE: Single Family and Duplex Residential Projects for PV installs under 38.4KW are eligible to be submitted through SolarAPP. This also includes submittals to SolarAPP containing ESS/battery storage systems. The city of Upland's Permitting Portal can also be used to upload solar projects (Available 24/7).
IN ADDITION TO SolarAPP , A PERMIT FROM THE CITY IS STILL REQUIRED.
